Sunday Afternoon in Chicago

Today was another beautiful clear day in Chicago. We began the day by going to The Art Institute of Chicago.

I'm not really one for art galleries, but there were some really famous pieces in there:

Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte - Georges Seurat

American Gothic. The security guard told me that I looked too happy for that photo

After spending a few hours there, we headed off to the Hard Rock Cafe, to buy a pin head for my collection (picture coming soon).

After having a Chinese at Panda Express, we then went to the baseball stadium, Wrigley Field, which is the home ballpark of the Chicago Cubs. We didn't get tickets to watch because they had sold out about 6 months beforehand! The outside was pretty booming,

I struggled to get the most of the stadium in the shot

Good idea, watching the game from the roof!

Later on, we went to Lake Michigan. Lake Michigan is the third largest Great Lake. Many rivers diverge into the lake, like the Mississippi River. We wanted to go there just so that we could put our feet in Lake Michigan.

Waiting for the perfect picture opportunity
