Heart of America

We are close to the centre of America. This is the furthest away I've been from the seaside, which is good, because I HATE sand!

Yesterday, we drove from Chicago, IL, over to Ames, IA. This was a 6 hour journey. During the journey, there were quite a few points of interest, besides the vast amounts of corn. We went over the Mississippi river, which was wide. We also went to the largest truck stop in the world. Genuinely! We stopped there for some food. 'People-watching' was interesting there. Whilst there, I had the healthy option and had two cheeseburgers and chicken from Wendy's...

In Ames, we are staying with some family friends, Janet and Pete, in their home.

Louisa and I checking the mail

For past the two mornings, I've gone for a bike ride around the neighbourhood, looking like the paper boy. This morning I got a bit lost.

We've been made to feel very much at home. Therefore, this has allowed me to improve my pool playing.

Later on in the day, yesterday, we went to this huge mall in Des Moins. We went to The Cheesecake Factory, hoping to see Penny from The Big Bang Theory... we had no luck. Bazinga!

For my meal, I had a Monster Burrito. This thing was pretty big.

Before

and after. But I still had room for some cheesecake, pro!

Finally we all drove home, on the way, we stopped off at Walmart. I really wanted to buy a watch. It only cost $20. I chose it because I didn't want the normal Casio watch that everyone now has, I took it a step further and got the calculator version!

20 bucks well spent, thanks Walmart!

Also, a special mention to my good friend Joel, who hurt his arm by falling of his bike. Stay strong brother x

While you're in Ames, you should check out Reiman Gardens, and be sure to eat at Hickory Park and/or the Flame & Skewer. It's too bad you didn't come earlier in the year - the flowering trees in the late spring are my favorite thing about Ames.

While you are in Ames you should drive north to Story City to ride our historic carousel and a little further north to Jewell to get some homemade ice cream at Sweet Treats.

Just saw you on the 6pm channel 13 news with Ed Wilson. I certainly hope you and everyone you are traveling with have a great time and enjoy Iowa. I like your Iowa State shirt in your pic. I did not see where you are from in England...I visited there a long long time ago when I was in college and had a great time...I was in London for 6 weeks and took many day trips from there on the weekends and then also traveled around the country with a Britt Rail Pass. I wish you safe and smooth travels for the rest of the trip. Oh, I too love the Big Bang Theory, can't wait for the new season to start!

Saw you with Ed Wilson at our awesome Iowa State Fair. So glad that you are enjoying our state. Have a safe journey west. Make sure you go to see Crazy Horse Mountain while in South Dakota. I think it is much better than Mt. Rushmore.

Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword....wait there's even more Now what if i told you there was a simple Wordpress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That's right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo Plugin seo http://www.Seo-Solutions.info/
